Joint civil society statement on Myanmar military coup
In response to the coup, civil society groups put out the shared statement on 3 February 2021 which was covered in the Australian Newspaper. The statement and article are available for download below. Quotes are also provided.

“Australian companies like Woodside should immediately suspend operations and support a civilian-led democracy not the military junta.”
“Myanmar’s mineral and gas wealth should benefit Myanmar’s 54 million women, men and children not the Myanmar general’s which have illegally taken control of the country.”
“The Australian government must support targeted sanctions of the Myanmar military and related business interests.”
